The first leg of this weekend’s “hypothetical” win double picks itself: Rochdale (3/4). The Dale are flying at the moment and in 2025 have yet to let this blog down. On Saturday they visit Woking, who are currently eighteenth in the National League. The Cardinals will be cheered by their last game, a 1-3 away win at Altrincham, but that was at the expense of a team who are actually bottom of the league based on recent form. Leg two of the double is another team hitting the road, MK Dons (13/8), who travel to Bromley in League Two, an opposition that is currently the model of inconsistency. Both matches kick off at 3 pm and my “hypothetical” £20 win double currently returns £91.88 at combined odds of 3.59/1 with my unofficial sponsor Sky Bet for a profit of £71.88 after deduction of stake.
You never know! See you next time, hopefully with a bit more to say (and time to say it in).
